Pentax annonce l'Optio S12 pour mars 2008. Cet appareil ultra compact est décliné en 4 couleurs, est doté d'un capteur 12 millions de pixels, d'un zoom optique 3x et d'une sensibilité pouvant aller jusqu'à 3200 ISO (comme d'habitude cela ne présage rien de bon pour la qualité des images).
